Protection Matters - Bed Bugs
Bed bugs are nocturnal parasites and are prolific breeders and females can lay eggs up to 5 times per day.
Bed Bug bites can become itchy and swell into reddened weals. Bed bugs prefer to hide in bedding and on mattresses where they have ready access to a source of food (A.K.A. your blood supply).
Oh, and one more thing: they are highly resistant to pesticides and chemicals. In fact there is currently no bed bug insecticide available on the market. In order to protect against bed bugs, a fully encased protector is required. Watch our video to find a solution:
Bed Bug facts
- Prolific breeders - females lay eggs up to 5 times per day in their life time
- Live up to a year without a meal
- Easily transferred into the home via visitors and/or their luggage
- Feed on blood, injecting a mild form of anaesthetic making bites hard to detect unless the victim experiences an allergic reaction
- Bite causes mild or severe itchiness, and present as raised red bumps similar to mosquitos and lead to sores or welts sometimes requiring antibiotics
- Highly resistant to pesticides or chemicals - No bed bug insecticide is currently available for consumer purchase
